Tomas Erhart has been working in the film-business for the past 35 years. He shot more than 80 movies, numerous documentaries and commercials.
His working range stretches from action-movies like Willy Bogner’s Fire, Ice & Dynamite and Bernd Eichinger’s Manta-Manta to period drama like The Ninth Day, directed by Oscar winner Volker Schloendorff or A Breath of Heaven, awarded with the Chinese Golden Rooster Award.
Tomas is co-founder of the highly respected Filmakademie Baden – Württemberg and member of the German Academy of Motion Pictures.
Since 2010 Tomas has been pioneering on stereoscopic 3D and contributed his working experience to several 3D productions, among them: Lang Lang 3D at Berghain, The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra 3D from Singapore and ‘WACKEN 3D – louder than hell’, a large scale intl. 3D music documentary about the legendary Open Air Festival, featuring among others Rammstein, Alice Cooper, Motörhead, Deep Purple and Henry Rollins.
Tomas’ english is fluent, he has a worldwide working experience, loves second unit work (dop – dop/director) and is a skilled DoP – co-director.
